Facility Terms

Template notice. This document is a starting point written for OfficialPath’s service model. Correctional communications are heavily regulated and vary by facility and state — have it reviewed and adapted by qualified legal counsel before you rely on it.

These Facility Terms apply to correctional facilities, agencies, and operators that use OfficialPath’s Facility Pilot — the operator console for authorization, policy overlays, route status, staff review, and audit exports. They supplement our Terms of Service.

1. Authorization and control

Facilities authorize which communication channels and routes are permitted.
Operators can set policy overlays, set a route to active, paused, or blocked, and use a kill switch where needed.
Route status and billing pause behavior follow operator decisions — a non-active route is not delivery-billed.

2. Monitoring and review

OfficialPath supports facility monitoring, held-message review, and audit exports. Facilities are responsible for applying their own policies and for the lawful use of any data they access.

3. Data and audit

Sensitive actions are recorded in audit logs. Exports are available to authorized operator roles. Data handling follows our Privacy Policy and any written agreement between the facility and OfficialPath.

4. No unauthorized access

Operator access is role-based and limited to authorized personnel. Facilities must keep credentials secure and use access only for legitimate operational purposes.

5. Agreement

Facility Pilot is provided under a separate written agreement. To discuss a pilot, contact facilities@officialpath.com.
